We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team.

In this role, you will interact with customers and suppliers on a daily basis to ensure accurate and timely accounting and financial processes. You will also support senior accounting staff with day-to-day tasks and month-end activities, contributing to the smooth functioning of the department.

This is a fixed-term position, offered on a one-year contract basis with the possibility of extension depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, process, and enter financial documents, including invoices and remittances

  • Respond to customer inquiries and requests via email and telephone

  • Manage account reconciliations with customers and suppliers, and resolve billing issues to ensure accurate and timely invoicing

  • Coordinate orders and dispatch equipment, including pricing, license issuance/renewal, and service contracts

  • Prepare and dispatch monthly and bi-monthly customer invoices

  • Record bank transactions, perform bank reconciliations, and conduct the monthly financial close

  • Maintain records for partners and resellers, including calculation and processing of commissions

  • Resolve errors in financial reports and correct faulty reporting methods

Job requirements

Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or a related subject

  • Preferable 1 year of experience in a similar position

  • Experience with double-entry bookkeeping for Category C companies

  • Excellent skills in computer and office databases (ex. Microsoft Office Suite)

  • Excellent command of English (oral and written)

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Good to have:

  • Familiarity with ERP Softone

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems

  • Familiarity with CRM platforms
